An update from our barn conversion project, which started in September. This is the conversion of a pair of joined barns into accomodation for holiday lets, along with the renovation of the small gatehouse into a useable storage area. Work has been uninterupted by lockdown restrictions or the freezing weather, and the project looks like it's coming into the final phase now. The roofs have been replaced, almost all the windows are in, the interior has been reconfigured, plastered, the services are in and waiting to be connected, the perimeter wall has been built, a mezzanine level has gone into the large double-height barn, along with a spiral staircase- there's been a huge amount of work on this over the winter. There are still some large pieces of glass to go into the big windows that were created when the doors from the main barn were removed, and then both barns need to start on their respective interior fitouts.
